Adopted!

Nikko (Adopted)

Name: Nikko

Species: Dwarf

Estimated age: 5-6 months

Gender: Male

Likes: Boiled egg white, Vegetables, FP treats, Flax seeds, FP premium mix, burrowing, bathing sand

Dislikes: Invasion of his privacy and not comfortable with being picked up

Nikko (Japanese: Sunshine) is a super docile hamster, never bites but if you disturb him against his will when he is hiding, he might bite you. He loves his hide outs and you can lure him to his hideout then pick the hideout and interact with him. He does not like being overwhelmed with someone touching him, in short, he needs his space and time to trust you. He will let you pet him while he eats, will nip your finger to satisfy his curiosity.

He has the potential to be one of those super trusting and friendly hammies if you give him unconditional love, his space, and be patient and make your home a safe haven for him

He likes to burrow, so he would really enjoy having a deep bedding. He sleeps most of the day and comes out to drink water 2-3 times during the day and munches on flax seed sprays, he also stuffs food in his pouch and takes it in his burrow and eats there. He loves to munch on all new snacks and treats that Fat pouches has to offer (spoilt brat, I know)

Requirements

Wheel: he is using the bigger wheel (the one we use for Syrians – i.e ~30cm CARNO)

Bedding: Oxbow or Fatpouches tea bag bedding

Food: FP premium mix, small quantity of vegetables, mazuri block, Flax seeds spray, lots of treats from FP

Enrichment: Minimum 2-3 hideouts

NATSU (M) - Adopted

Likes: sleeping in weird positions, pine nuts, forage, treats

Dislikes: sudden loud noises, being grabbed

Natsu is a very silly boy who loves to sleep in the weirdest positions. As a baby he would lie on his back and sleep, totally cute!! Now he sleeps at the corner of his cage, wedged between his sand bath and the walls of the cage. He’s still skittish and will run when he hears really loud sudden noises, but overall is a very curious and interactive boy. Very chill whenever he’s in your palm and accepts rewards of pine nuts. He doesn’t like to be grabbed so patience in handing him will be required. However you can slowly introduce treats like pine nuts with your fingers and he will gently receive them. These make wonderful bonding sessions! He loves little pats and is okay to be held. You can take a look at the fosterer’s IG for more cute videos and photos of Natsu!!!!
