Cricket was found in a small carrier with another ham, both soaked in pee and dirt. After a good cleaning and a few weeks of being fattened up, he has transformed into the adorable chonky boy he is today!

Cricket is the ultimate nua boi, in the day you can always find him sleeping belly-up in his sand bath. He sleeps so soundly its hard to wake him up. He once gave his fosterer a huge shock when she couldn’t wake up him and she thought he was dead, but he was just busy in dreamland >:(

Cricket doesn’t just like sleeping in sand, he also loves sleeping in his pee. His little white bum sometimes looks like it’s been dunked in pee. His adopter will have to do regular spot cleaning of his sleeping area to keep him clean. Wood-based bedding such as birch is recommended as it keeps him much drier than paper bedding!

A good boy who doesn’t bite, Cricket is a friendly ham who is comfortable around humans! He’s happy to sleep in the open and willingly takes treats from human hands. However, he does get annoyed if disturbed when sleeping and will grumpily hide away!

Cricket is most active at night, coming out of his deep sleep to forage for food and do some digging and burrowing. He doesn’t use his wheel that much, preferring to run around his enclosure instead. He’s a happy and inquisitive ham who knows exactly how to enjoy life, and he definitely deserves maximum enjoyment after what he’s been through. Cricket will love a human who pampers him and supports his nua lifestyle!
