Pumpkin was surrendered to us in mid-November 2021.

Though she was initially shy and a little screamy, she has blossomed into one that absolutely loves cuddles! She has a favourite way of being held (Photo 4) - gently smooshed in your palm with pats and massages, and you’d notice that she would cuddle back like a koala.

She may look a little chonky and understandably so (since she loves food so much), but she actually works out quite a bit! She loves her wheel (currently using a Niteangel 25cm) and can be seen running on it throughout the night. She does take breaks from time to time but mostly just to recharge her energy by stuffing her pouches with the treats and sprays in her cage.

Please note that being the glutton she is, Pumpkin may unintentionally mistake fingers for food if they smell like her treats, and especially if it’s because you have just touched pine nuts! Thus, do wash your hands in between handling food items and Pumpkin! (She’s sorry not sorry.)

Food: Fatpouches Premium/Standard Mix + Mazuri Lab Blocks
Sand: Wittemolen / Versele Laga Chinchilla Sand
Wheel: min. 21cm (Daisy/Niteangel 25cm wheels are a personal recommendation!)
Enrichment: min. 3 hideouts/multichamber/tunnels and spays/herbs for foraging!
