Adopted!

Todi (Adopted)

Species: Dwarf Hybrid

Estimated age: 1 year

Gender: Male

Likes: Walnuts, Sleeping and hiding

Dislikes: Being picked up

Fosteror’s Instagram account/ highlight of the foster: @sir_millington

Housed with many other hams, Todi was a really and timid ham when he first arrived at his fosterer’s place.

He hid in dark places a lot and preferred eating when it was dark. He slowly got used to human interaction and began lazing around his fosterer, giving kisses whenever a hand is offered!

Todi is growing to love his new hideouts and shifting bedding around to make his own burrows!

Tilly (Adopted)

Species: Dwarf Hybrid

Estimated age: 8+ months

Gender: Female

Likes: Fatpouches seed mixes, fatpouches porridge, pine nuts, dried tofu, flax spray and burrowing

Tilly was rescued along with her other siblings in a mass rescue. This little chonker LOVES to burrow in her bedding and stays there.

She used to be a leaper and would screech and be super scared of human touch, but she is getting way used to human touch and allows finger pats on her tiny head! She doesnt run as much when she is out on her cage too so she has really improved with touch!

She loves to nom on her seed mix and would hide them in her hideys. Her favourite activity is really just burrowing and she really loves doing so it would be nice if you could provide a deep amount of bedding.

She is slowly being toilet trained on sand as she was on a medical setup and isn't used to it, but she loves to roll around when she does get to it.

If you are sincere in giving her the chance and time to be more affectionate towards humans, then consider adopting Tilly!

Blue (Adopted)

Species: Dwarf

Estimated age: 8-12 months

Gender: Female

Likes: Flowers, herbs, forage, sprays

Dislikes: Insects, veggies, being grabbed!

Fosterer’s Instagram account/ highlight of the foster : @mellyyland

You’ll hear Blue before you see her! She looks deceptively demure and sweet but behind her cute pink nose is a little devil >:) She loves screeching at her fosterer whenever her fosterer “disturbs” her, i.e changing her water. Despite all the noise, Blue doesn’t mind being held (but not grabbed!) and loves to free roam. Over the past few weeks she has become more comfortable with humans and screams less frequently.

Blue was kept in a barred caged but had to be moved to an unbarred cage when she started bar-biting. As a result, she will have to be kept in an unbarred cage to prevent injury to herself. Furthermore, a larger cage with lots of enrichment is recommended to reduce her stress levels and aggression. Lots of free-roaming time is recommended as she loves to explore and run around!

Blue loves her herbs and forage mix, spending lots of time sniffing and nibbling. Scatter-feeding is also recommended for her as it provides extra enrichment. When given sprays, Blue will make a huge mess, scattering seeds across her entire cage floor, but that just shows that she’s enjoying herself :)

Blue is not recommended for families with young children as she has a tendency to nip. She’ll do well with a patient adopter who can spend time building trust with her, as well as letting her free-roam a few nights a week!

Cage:
Unbarred, minimum 3600 square cm
Wheel:
21cm or bigger
Bedding: Birch (recommended) or Paper
Food:
Fatpouches Standard/Premium
Enrichment:
Minimum 2-3 hides (including 1 multi-chamber hide), chews, sprays, lots of forage

Lemon (Adopted)

Species: Dwarf Hybrid

Gender: Female

Age/DOB: 1 year old

Likes: Being cute and carried, running on her wheel, pine nuts!

Dislikes: Contented lady with no dislikes???

Fosterer’s Instagram: @hammotoast

Lemon may be a year old but she’s a young lady at heart! She loves exercising on her wheel every night and foraging all the sprays in her enclosure. When she notices that her human is awake, she would run to the front of the enclosure to greet her and demands to be carried out for snuggles. She can be easily handled and is suitable for homes with young children or first-time owners.

Please note that Lemon has had a lumpectomy a few months ago. As with all other hamsters, there is always a risk of them developing tumours and recurrence. A routine physical check for new or recurrent growth is always recommended.

If you'd like to see more photos/videos of Lemon or have a chat about her, feel free to message @hammotoast on Instagram!
