Deejay

Species: Long-haired syrian

Gender: M

Estimated Age: Aug 2023

Likes: his wheel, food, burrowing

Dislikes: sudden movements and grabby hands

Deejay wasn't just found, he was discovered like a hidden treasure in the depths of lethargy land. But oh, did he turn that situation around! This little fluffball bounced back faster than a rubber ball on a trampoline. Now, he's the epitome of curiosity and friendliness, with a dash of shyness that only adds to his charm.

Deejay is a connoisseur of all things edible. Hand him a treat, and you'll have a friend for life! He's also a fitness fanatic! Watch him go as he spins his way to hamster glory on his trusty wheel. When he’s done with that, he can often be found digging deep and creating his own little hamster hideouts. It's like watching a tiny architect at work! An absolute grooming guru, Deejay takes self-care seriously. His grooming game is on point, and he's always ready to strut his stuff with a perfectly groomed coat.

While Deejay might be a bit shy about palm sitting (who can blame him, those things are huge!), but he's all about accepting snacks from your hand with gusto. Give him some time, and you'll find yourself with a furry friend who's as curious about you as you are about him!

Currently looking for a forever home where he can keep up with his favourite hobbies, munch on tasty treats, and maybe even find a willing lap to explore. Could that be with you?

Requirements:

Cage: As big as possible!

Wheel: Adopter should consider providing an easy to clean (i.e. cork-lined wheels not recommended) silent wheel because Deejay loves running long distance on his wheel. He also tends to pee on his wheel when in a hurry.

Bedding: Currently using Fatpouches teabag bedding and Josanty paper bedding

Food: Currently being fed Fatpouches Syrian foraging mix and floral mix

Enrichment: Have multiple hideouts. Multi chamber hides are useful. Cardboard boxes are effective (and cheap) options that Deejay really enjoys.

Other requirements: Deejay prefers using a water bowl to a bottle.
