Max was rescued from an abandonment case in early September and was initially very aggressive and would scream at his foster dad whenever he came near him.

But with lots of love, and treats, he’s opened up and become a very curious and lovable boy. He loves dried treats and pets on the head. Max is an avid runner and would be running on his wheel deep into the night. He spends most of his day sleeping in his burrow or behind his wheel. When approached, he peeks and will come out to say hi or for a nice, fresh floret of broccoli. He has not been potty trained but does usually go behind his wheel which makes spot cleaning very easy.

He doesn’t particularly enjoy being picked up but is very calm and gentle when you do. He does enjoy exploring so a larger enclosure would be preferable. Also, if possible he really enjoys running around and exploring his playpen. He is very active and enjoys munching on sprays and forage.

He does take time to get used to new environment changes and can be quite territorial . He does bite when stressed but with time will open up and be much more comfortable with you. He deserves all the love and attention you can give him! Will you be Max’s forever pal?
