Lotus (Adopted)

Species: Dwarf
Estimated age: 5 months
Gender: Female
Likes: Food, Burrowing, Sleeping in the bedding
Dislikes: Disturbed when sleeping, prolonged handling time

Lotus was abandoned and found at the staircase of HDB on a very hot day. She was dehydrated and starving... but Lotus didn’t give in. She is a survivor ! Despite the ordeal, Lotus is a friendly hammo and not scared of humans. When she sees her fosterer, Lotus runs towards her and begs for food! Yes, Lotus is a super foodie. Eating and pouching her food, holding on to sprays to munch and getting treats from her fosterer are her favourite things to do!

Lotus doesn’t mind being scooped up but prolonged handling would still stress her. When she is stressed, she would let you know by occasional nipping or squeaking. (She is a survivor and an independent girl.) She would get used to the handling in time so your patience is greatly appreciated.

Lotus is still a young hammo with lots of energy. When she is awake, she loves running on her wheel and zooming left to right in her cage, and she loves building an underground city! If you have a transparent cage, you will see her work as an architect with lots of tunnels deep under. It is so adorable to see her sleep in the tunnel. Lotus loves burrowing so her potential adopter will need to provide her with deep bedding. Since she is not potty trained, she tends to pee on her wheel, so frequent cleaning of the wheel is necessary to keep her clean and healthy.

Lotus' pretty face comes out and she will run to you to say hello! It is really amazing to see how she still likes humans and she wants to be part of your life. You will feel your heart melting and all your stress disappearing just by looking at her at the end of your hectic days. She will light up your day by showing her love to you.

Will you be the one to love her back with TLC?
