Disney is a friendly, well-mannered little man who is sure to charm his new family. He has a fantastic disposition and is comfortable with gentle pets and endures his fosteror’s grooming. Disney has a keen sense of hearing and will poke his head out from his favourite burrow to explore the noise. He is a pretty slow-moving guy and these “explorations” take some time as he trots over to the sound, stopping every few steps to stare at you/ sniff around. When he stops in his tracks to stare/ sniff, you can occasionally see his head bopping to the sound (if it’s a repetitive sound like a container shaking) or his nose twitching! Disney also frequently stands on his hind legs to explore (like bunnies who periscope!) and it makes for cute pictures.

He loves free roaming but sticks to paths that he is familiar with (i.e. along the perimeter of the room) and also takes his time to sniff and stare to his heart’s content. He also tends to climb on top of hideouts in an attempt to get closer to the opening of the cage when he wants more free roam time. Hence an unbarred cage is necessary for his safety. It would be fantastic if his new family can commit to free roaming him every day!

His fosteror has provided him with a large sandpit (A4 sized) and put a hideout (without a base) in there. This hideout quickly turned into Disney’s toilet and he now goes into the hideout to pee… which is pretty amusing! He is partially potty trained and mostly pees in his “toilet” and poops in the hideout next to it.

His new family should note that normal bedding tends to get tangled in his fur since he is a long haired Syrian. He is fine with humans gently grooming him with a small brush or with fingers but his new family should be extremely gentle. Alternatively, teabag bedding would be perfect for him.

Will you be Disney’s happily ever after?
