Jojo (Special Needs) (Adopted)

Breed: Dwarf
Estimated age: 5 to 6 months
Gender: Female
Likes: Sunflower seeds, Tofu, Freeze-dried cucumbers, Hoarding, Nesting, Running on her wheel
Dislikes: Sudden movements, bright lights and loud noises

Jojo was found abandoned in a dustbin, living in a tiny cage (with no food, water, wheel or any form of enrichment) with her brother Mojo. Her fosterer noticed that Jojo suffered from a head tilt and was placed on an antibiotics course. Jojo has since been medically cleared by the veterinarian, although she still suffers from a slight permanent head tilt. This has not stopped Jojo from living her best life and has not affected her quality of life at all! Her adopter just needs to be slightly more careful about this and to not introduce any high platforms, as she sometimes gets over-excited and loses her balance.

Since spending time with her fosterer, Jojo has transformed from a scared skittish hamster to a curious energetic girl that comes running around of her hideout whenever she senses her nearby. Although she still dislikes sudden movements, she very excitedly runs into her ham-taxi (a cup) whenever it is placed in her cage – the clever girl knows that it is playpen time!  She enjoys her supervised playpen time, especially when her fosterer scatters sunflower seeds around for Jojo to collect. She also loves hoarding her food.

Jojo is still getting used to being stroked and handled, so she requires an adopter that is patient enough to work on gaining her trust and spending time with her. That said, she has the sweetest and prettiest face & the biggest personality, making it easy to fall in love with her!
