Sushi is a huge foodie and would usually be found sleeping with half of her body inside the food bowl and the rest of her just hanging out. Another cute thing about her would be that unlike most hamsters, Sushi actually prefers to sleep out in the open and can usually be found in a deep sleep, upside down in a random corner of her enclosure. (Not gonna lie, it gave her fosterer a near heart attack more than a few times.)

She is usually happy to be out of her cage, enjoying being carried and floor time, but tends to be a little territorial when seeing a hand in her enclosure. She would usually take some time to sniff the "intruder" before deciding whether it is friendly or food, but may still give a nip cos… Maybe it’s food? Knowing this, her fosterer would usually show the back of her fist and let Sushi have a sniff before picking her up. That way, even if Sushi does give her a nip, it isn’t as painful!

Sushi has shown mild signs of a neurological disorder where she tends to flip on her back and have a hard time getting back on her feet. Though it is relatively mild and often self-limiting, it is recommended for her to be in an unbarred cage with low platforms and no hanging accessories so as to reduce the likelihood of her injuring herself when she falls. It is also good to provide her with more bedding to cushion her falls.
