Smudge was born in HSS custody after her momma was sadly abandoned. Initially the silly girl was easily frightened like most of her siblings (they all love to scream), but she has gotten braver with age and is comfortable taking yums from her fosterer!

Smudge was named because of her very soft fur that is streaked with black marks (as if she rolled around in some charcoal hehe).

Smudge is sweet and gentle but still active and very inquisitive. She enjoys burrowing and foraging for food. As she is scatter-fed, she loves collecting up all her seeds and depositing them in her hides for safe-keeping. Her favourite is sunflower heads and she'll strip the whole head in 1 day, just to hoard them in her burrow. She usually sleeps in the day and emerges at night to run on her wheel.

Although she doesn’t like being grabbed or picked up, Smudge is comfortable with human hands. She's happy to very very gently take food from her fosterer, and slowly put them in her cheek pouches. She is quite food-motivated so it should be easy for her adopter to gain her trust by bribing her with lots of yummy treats!

Smudge is an adorable floof with a great temperament and will thrive with loads of space, enrichment, attention, and love ;)
