Slomo is a older gentleman who enjoys sleeping and eating when he's awake. He is very gentle, and also very slow. He is on the smaller size, at under 100g now, but still lives his best life. He might have some anxiety issues from his past, so he is insecure about unpouching his food. Requires a more experienced owner who knows how to unpouch a hamster manually as previously he had rotting food in his pouch and may continue doing so due to his anxieties. Overall he is a very chill low energy who does nothing much but sleep and eat. Always stands on 2 feet and asks for cuddles around 11pm onwards, responsive to people walking past his enclosure. good boi 10/10

Requirements
Enclosure size: 80x50cm (strictly no bar cages please, he is gentle and curious but extremely clumsy. tends to fall with legs flailing. this is to prevent him from accidentally breaking his little legs. applicants with samlas will be considered if they meet all other requirements (please note this is a special requirement for Slomo as he makes very minimal movement throughout the day and has a very low activity level. Syrians typically need a cage measuring 80 x 50 or bigger.)

Wheel: wheel size of 25cm (He is a little bit too small and light to turn a 30cm wheel! However brands like SR and trixie are ok as the 30cm wheels are very light)

Diet: Not too fussy about food, but main mix of seed mix required with minimum wet food. He has a history of pouching anxiety and will pouch even wet mash, which rots in his pouches and is hard to remove. Does not like oxbow pellets or bunny nature

Enrichment:
- Prefers sleeping in the open than in hideouts, so minimum just 1 hideout! He does like hideouts with platforms
- THICK burrowable bedding - paper/teabag bedding/birch/aspen bedding are fine, he likes to dig. 10cm thickness to entertain him

Additional:
- knowledge and willingness to palpate his cheekpouch every 1-2 weeks and unpouch if necessary (fosteror will guide you)
- some experience handling hamsters
