Sando is a big chonky foodie at heart. She was rescued with several other hams from a hoarding situation. Despite having such a hard start to life, this cheerful girl now lives life to the fullest. She’s a bright and trusting hammo who loves her food and wheel. She also loves burrowing and making a huge mess of her cage, so her adopter should give her lots of deep bedding for burrowing.

Sando is an inquisitive, curious girl who isn’t afraid of humans, especially when humans = food. She can polish off a pile of mealworms in seconds! Her adopter should have no problem gaining her trust with some good treats. However, she isn’t the biggest fan of being picked up and may occasionally nibble when grumpy >:(

Sando spends most of the day sleeping in her burrow, emerging in the evening to look for food and take a leisurely run on her wheel. One of her favourite activities is harvesting sprays, especially millet and sunflower heads. She loves shredding the sprays into tiny pieces and making the sprays “botak”.

Sando is a happy healthy girl who will thrive with lots of space, food, enrichment, and love!
