Requirements:

Cage: Minimum 90x50cm base, unbarred
Wheel: Min. 27cm (~30cm recommended)
Bedding: HSS approved paper bedding, if you choose to use with wood bedding it should be majority paper with only a small corner of wood bedding only
Food: Fatpouches Ultimate Mix
Sand: Any HSS approved sand
Enrichment: Min. 3 hideouts which can include a multichamber, or tunnels that are appropriately sized for syrians. Along with sprays or herbs for foraging

Potato is a shy girl who likes to take her time getting to know you. She can be wary of noises and sudden movements, but give her some patience and she will slowly warm up and show you her curious side.

Her greatest talent is burrowing. Potato builds some of the most complex tunnel systems, so a home with plenty of thick, deep bedding would make her very happy! Dim the lights at night and you might see her appear running the wheel, because she’s always so busy working on her underground empire.

She’s also a little strange and cartoon like in the way she moves and reacts to things. Sometimes she just pauses and stares into space for many minutes.

She does have a bad habit though. She pees on her wheel, so her future adopter should be prepared for some extra wheel cleaning and wiping down.

Otherwise, Potato is a pretty simple girl who doesn’t ask for much. A peaceful home, plenty of bedding, some patience, and the freedom to dig to her heart’s content.
