Requirements:

Cage: Unbarred acrylic cage with lid (min. 100cm x 50cm x 50cm)
Wheel: Wheel (27-32cm, the bigger the better!)
Bedding: Currently on mix of Kaytee Clean & Cozy white paper bedding and Aspen bedding, but any other HSS approved bedding will do! Take note because he loves digging so much, minimally 5cm of bedding for him please! (Even if its not the whole cage that is fine too, but just dedicate bedding for him to burrow and feel safe)

  • Highly recommended to sieve the bedding to remove fine dust and prevent potential allergies/respiratory issues :)

Sand: Witte Molensand
Food: Fatpouches Ultimate Mix (Syrians) + Bunny Nature Syrian Hamsterdream Expert + An occasional and moderate serving of hamster-safe veggies/fruits!
Enrichment: Hideouts as per HSS' requirements (preferably acrylic/ceramic, but do remember to clear routinely as she pees quite a bit in her hideout!), sprays, boredom breakers, free roam time


Profile:

Orange is one of the bravest in his family with 9 other siblings and mama bear. He loves digging and because of that please provide him with at least 4-5cm of bedding for him to dig and create his favourite underground tunnels throughout the cage. Pat the paper or aspen bedding down to make sure it’s compact so that it doesn’t collapse when he tunnels around in those bedding.

He loves running on his wheel, and occasionally pees and poops on it so do check and clean accordingly! He also loves porridge and frozen tofu, and will take it from your hand. Sometimes he is shy and needs some warming up. Handling him slowly and routinely will familiarise him with your hands!

Please supplement DAILY with high water vegetables/fruit to ensure he pees more, the whole family has bladder issues and this is a preventive measure
