Moomoo (Adopted)

Species: Syrian

Estimated age: 2-3 months

Gender: Female

Likes: Fresh tofu, edamame, pine nuts, corn, boiled salmon

Dislikes: Being kissed by hooman, being startled (she’s still a scaredy cat, so be patient and gentle ^^)

Fosterer’s Instagram account: @biscuit_toffee

Moomoo is a young little girl who came from a horrible environment. After spending weeks at her fosterer’s house, this sweet girl is still timid and afraid of being picked up. Sometimes she gets a shock and starts running fast into her favorite sand bath.

The sweetheart, however, just needs more TLC (tender loving care)…a hooman who would patiently care for her as she learns how to be more comfortable with being handled. She doesn’t hate hoomans, in fact she is curious enough to come closer to your hand sniffing as you put your hand in the tank. She’s also not a biter despite being jumpy (which is a bonus point, yay! Your fingers won’t be murdered!).

Moomoo is suitable for an experienced adopter who is used to handle them when they panic or are being scared.

She enjoys lots of fresh foods (tofu, veggies and a little bit of fruits sometimes) as well as her seed mix. Big wheels and large sand bath would make her extra happy as these are where she spends a lot of time every night.

Although she’s not a big of a burower, sufficient depth of bedding is recommended as it helps her have fun digging (she will usually still uses hideouts and won’s sleep in her burrows).

Will you be the one who will hold her paw and walk along her journey of trusting hoomans?

Requirements

Standard HSS requirements for Syrians but no barred cage. She is currently on FP standard mix + chef Dumbo’s minestrone as a main food plus daily fresh food + variety of treats. Moomoo isn’t very fussy about food.

Note

She has previously been treated for giardia (type of parasite) with medication. No abnormality in her stool is spotted since then, but good to take note should the adopter bring her to vet for something in the future and is asked for a medical history.
