Marshmallow is one of the 3 babies of Mama Macaron.  His life started in a rough environment, however now Marshmallow is starting to enjoy the taste of safety and freedom at his fosterer's house.  He is still very young and small, so is timid and very skittish!  He loves burrowing deep and staying underground to feel safe, and he hides himself most of the time during the day.  Therefore, his fosterer has been trying to show him that he is protected now and trying to help him feel more comfortable with the new environment with human handling.  As a result, he has been gradually making progress. He takes some treats from his fosterer's hand, when he is in a good mood! However if he is too scared, he zooms like a flash of lightning while you blink!   With the skittish nature of Roborovskis in addition to his background, it may take some time for Marshmallow to open up to you.  So please be patient and he will appreciate it deeply.

You may not see Marshmallow much during the day, however, he is an amazing athlete at night!  His fosterer's monitor caught him running on the wheel almost the whole night, munching the food and playing in the sand bath in between.  He is a cute ball of energy!   With the hope of seeing him more during the day and helping him grow up, his fosterer sprinkles some extra seed mix and forage on the bedding, as these  help him eat more and wander around the cage more often.

A few things to note for the potential adopters--

Marshmallow tends to pee on the wheel, so daily cleaning of the wheel is necessary to keep him clean and healthy.

Also, he is skittish and runs very fast, therefore it is not recommended for him to be handled by small children.  When he runs, he is REALLY fast, so his fosterer uses a playpen when he is out of his cage to prevent him from escaping.

Marshmallow is so sweet, as his name suggests.  He is still young and timid, however he will thrive with proper care and love from his human!

Will you give Marshmallow the second chance in life and unconditional love?
