F15 (Adopted)

Species: Dwarf

Gender: Female

Age/DOB: About 4 months

Likes: Food, all types of food. And especially sunflower seeds.

Dislikes: Being picked up from above, being disturbed when sleeping/hiding

Nicknamed ‘Karen’ when she first came to her fosterer, F15 is definitely not afraid to make her displeasure known! She screamed whenever her bedding is disturbed, when the cage door is opened, or even when her food bowl is being refilled.

Nevertheless, F15 has proven to be all bark and no bite. While skittish when she was first taken in, she has since grown to see hands as the giver of food and will now run up to the front of her enclosure for treats. Sunflower seeds in particular are her favourite!

A true foodie at heart, F15 will do absolutely anything for a treat, including approaching scary threats (read: hands) or even receiving pats. F15’s signature pose is The Meerkat - where she stands on her hindlegs with ears pricked when she hears a loud noise or sees a shadow going by (usually just her fosterer walking past the enclosure).

F15 may never be the most cuddly hamster, but her extreme love for food means that she can be tamed down relatively quickly and is willing to interact with scary hoomans as long as the right incentive is provided. However, she does tend to be more skittish and may not be suitable for young kids as she has no sense of heights and will jump out of strange hands if she’s afraid.

Just like the F15 fighter jet, she's loud, fast and most importantly, ever so entertaining to watch.
