In Sep 2022, the Hamster Society of Singapore was alerted to an abandonment case of 21 hamsters late at night. These hamsters were housed together in a cage without any food. Creampuff was one of them.

When Creampuff first arrived at the fosterer’s home, he was extremely shy and skittish. Initially, he was easily terrified by any sudden movements and would stay rooted to the ground for a moment.

Fortunately, his behaviour has improved over the weeks. Creampuff is gradually opening up to the fosterer and getting used to human touch. Despite the traumatic experience he had been through, Creampuff possesses an extremely calm and gentle demeanour. He is chilled whenever his fosterer carried and stroked his cuddly body but such actions must be done in a calm manner as he can still be startled by sudden movements.

As Creampuff is a long hair Syrian hamster, the fosterer has noticed that his fur is growing longer. Just like humans, Creampuff can wake up one day with a “bad hair day”! His adopter will have to brush his fur on a regular basis to make sure that he maintains his handsome and cheeky look.

Creampuff has a hearty appetite! He loves food and is always so adventurous in trying new treats or seed mixes. That explains his steady weight gain.  He keeps himself fit by running on the wheel throughout the night once the lights go off.

With lots of patience and tender loving care, Creampuff will be able to overcome his shyness and become a cuddly gentle boy. Will you be the one for him?
