Jacq (Adopted)

Species: Roborovski

Gender: Female

Age/DOB: 4 months

Likes: Pine nuts, Thick bedding to make tunnels, zooming away on the wheel late at night

Dislikes: Still curious about everything, hasn't developed any specific dislikes yet

Jacq is a bit on the shy side, but don't let that fool you—she's a tiny adventurer at heart! Most days, she will be hiding away chilling in her cozy burrows. Unlike some hamsters who are obsessive food hoarders, Jacq likes to savor the moment. She is not one to excessively hoard her food so you may sometimes see her little head buried in her food bowl, nibbling away at her favorite treats on the spot.

And while she hides most of the day, the second the lights go out, Jacq is ready to party! Running marathons on her wheel like as if she's on a mission.

Jacq might not be your typical cuddle buddy, but that's what makes her so special. While she's not terrified of humans, she still doesn't like being carried, and will play catch-me-if-you-can if you were to give chase. Jacq is actually a very low-maintenance hamster that simply loves her free-range exploration over snuggles.

Jacq's first owner irresponsibly and impulsively bought her from a pet store, fully aware that he was permanently relocating just 1 month later. Jacq is still just a very young girl and she just needs someone to give her a forever home and let her personality shine.

Note: Jacq is currently in an acrylic cage, so her fosterer is unsure if she has tendencies to climb, or if she will climb when she grows older. Being a roborovski, a naturally small sized hamster, it is encouraged to get Jacq a non-barred cage to prevent climbing injuries or escapes.
