Have you dreamed of owning a mini cow? If yes, Moo moo is the one you are waiting for

Moo moo is a small Roborovski hamster with softest cow-liked coating. This speedy toddler seems to have a lot of energies. He always running wheel throughout the nights and burrowing tunnels underground in his little kingdom.

Just like other Roborovski hamsters, Moo moo loves sand bath so much! This young boy already knows how to enjoy his life. He usually spends whole days chilling on his private “beach” — napping, rolling in sand and picnicking. All of his cutest moments can be captured over the sand. Providing enrichments like hammock (e.g. mask), ceramic hideouts and snack bar will be good surprises to him.

Moo moo is naturally shy and sometimes could be skittish. When he is aware of human around his cage, he will get anxious and start to escape away. Surprisingly, this foodie loves hand-feeding. If you take some food to lure him, this curious boy will climb up to your hand and eating on your palm carefully. Mealworm is his favorite food. This is the recommended way to bond with him.

Things to note when adopting Roborovskis:

  1. Adopters should make sure to get a glass tank/acrylic cage that does not have bars as Roborovski hamsters are smaller and can squeeze through the gaps.

  2. 1/3 of the cage should be covered with sand as Roborovski hamsters tend to become excessively ‘greasy’ when an appropriately sized sand area is not given.

  3. A wheel that is minimally 21cm should still be provided even if they are smaller in size as compared to dwarf hamsters.

  4. They are fast and may not be suitable for children. Some may also nip/bite.

  5. Taming is not guaranteed, but possible with lots of patience, time and love!
