Mushroom is a shy boy with adventurous spirit. He is busy exploring his little kingdom every day. You can see him digging tunnels, climbing and jumping between hideouts and platforms. Most of the time, he is an invisible hamster who feels comfortable when hiding himself in ceramic hideouts.

Despite having lots of energy, Mushroom seems to enjoy staying home rather than outside the cage. A large cage with many enrichments to explore will be more suitable for him. The lid is required because Mushroom is the master of jumping. He could climb to the top of a wheel and jump out of cage

When bonding with human, Mushroom tends to be cautious. This shy boy is afraid of sudden movements. He may bite if he feels threatened. The future pawrent should make sure he is aware of you before any interactions.

But this foodie can be bribed with food easily. Daily hand feeding is recommended as Mushroom enjoys chasing human hand to get food. You can even lure him to climb onto your hand to take treats

Mushroom will be doing well in a family who are willing to bond with him slowly. With time and love, this cutie will gradually warm up to you.

Cage: minimum 80 x 50 cm with lid. unbarred cage is recommended
Wheel: minimum 27 cm
Bedding: paper beddings (oxbow pure comfort is recommended)
Sand: unscented sand (wild sanko sand is recommended)
Food: He’s currently on Higgins sunburst.
- other recommended brands: bunny nature expert, rodipet or fatpouches seed mix
- whimzee xs or mazuri blocks for chewing once a week
- fresh vegetable/fruits as supplement
Enrichment: minimum 2 hideouts. 1 ceramic hideout is recommended as Mushroom likes cooling surface
