(Sun)Tory Toki was found abandoned under a block in a filthy cage, despite this experience, Tory is a very gentle and slow-moving hamster. However, even if she is slow, she is very intelligent and devilishly persistent. She will dedicate MAXIMUM effort in getting what she desires, (sliding a weighted acrylic cage lid OFF, or biting her acrylic cage nightly to DEMAND free roam).

But fret not, she is very sweet too, and literally too, SHE SMELLS LIKE McDonald’s Maple Syrup. Not a joke. If you love sniffing your hamster, she is the perfect one to start your day! ;)

Tory’s eyes are dark red and look absolutely beautiful, as the queen she is.

Requirements for Tory Toki Adoption:

No-Barred Cage:

Female Syrian hamsters are notorious climbers and will attempt to climb anything. To prevent Tory Toki from falling from heights, her enclosure should be barless.

(Strictly: Acrylic Cage Height: 60cm and 4mm thickness OR Glass Tank 90cm x 50cm x 50cm and above, if not she will DESTROY your cage, I’m not exaggerating, SHE WILL DO IT...)

Fully Covered Enclosure:

Syrian Hamsters are also notorious curious creatures. The enclosure needs to be fully covered with a weighted (Locks also can) lid to ensure she does not escape. Do note if it is fully covered, ensure the enclosure is placed in a well-ventilated area or fully shaded. (Ventilation and Heat)

Minimally 90 x 50 x 50 cm

Tory is very active at night and requires a large space to explore, if the space is insufficient, she might start destroying the cage in rebelliance (true experience, and she is the MOST PERSISTENT one so far).

Enrichment (5-7 items minimally)

Tory is a very inquisitive girl and enjoys exploring and burrowing. Adopters need to ensure her enclosure has sufficient enrichment items (Sprays, Forage, Climbing Branches, Scatter Feeds etc) to ensure she enjoys a variety of activities, because if she doesn’t, she destroys the cage and your sleep.

30 cm Wheel or larger

Tory runs a lot too and she requires 30cmwheel as she has a long body.
