Waddles loves the attention of getting fed in his cage and loves receiving treats every time he comes out of hiding. He is never shy to approach your hand anytime you have treats for him, but please do not poke your hand into the cage or poke him from the back when he’s unaware as he will bite is you do so. The regular taming method of placing your palm in his cage does NOT work as he often will bite your hand when you place it in the cage for too long. Luckily, he cooperates and loves to get out of his cage to roam around the floor, and doesn’t bite when you scoop him out of the cage. Thus he seems territorial of his environment. Otherwise when not in the cage, waddles seem to enjoy human interaction and attention, and free roaming is encouraged.

Despite his slightly older age, it was noticed that Waddles loves hard treats such as nuts and biscotti from fat pouches. Waddles loves to take treats from your hand and eats almost everything so he has yet to discover a food that he hates. Waddles also seem to be smaller than usual at his age, and would easily be mistaken as a young hamster.

A cute trait of Waddles would be the way she walks around when free roaming, which appears to be a waddle rather than a walk. Anyone that adopts him would be really lucky to witness this enjoyable sight.
