Gyudon has these white “eyebrows” above his eyes, which makes him looks like he’s judging you 24/7. However, Gyudon is actually a really curious boy. He likes to stand on his hind legs and look around when he senses that you’re nearby or around the enclosure. Sometimes you’ll see him fall over because he will twist his body to follow your scent to a point where he’ll lose balance and fall.

Gyudon is not a big fan of being carried, he might even give you a little bite to signal that he does not want to be on your hand. However, his favorite treats such as Fatpouches baked treat or freeze-dried tofu will help to distract him for a while as he happily munches on the food, you can get to carry him for a little longer!

Although Gyudon doesn’t like to be carried, he does allow (and maybe secretly enjoys) back scratches and massage while he’s eating. Gyudon is such a foodie that he allows you to do pretty much anything to him as long as he has something to eat.

Do take note that Gyudon has a bad habit of sleeping on the same spot where he pees. He will pee inside a hideout, or he will push away the bedding to pee directly on the cage and sleep on the same spot. Hence, it is VERY important to do regular spot cleaning for Gyudon! For this, a base-less hideout would be highly recommended for him.

Although Gyudon isn’t 100% comfortable being carried, I believe that with patience and love, he will become a cuddly boy.
