Hebi has a long and slender body, just like the perfect ham model. As she moves around the enclosure very fast, it looks like she is slithering through the bedding like a little snake, and that is how she got her name. XD
Hebi is a very curious girl, and can sense when you are hanging around the cage. She will look up at you and follow your hand around, hoping that you are going to give her a yummy treat! Those puppy eyes will definitely make you give in XD. She is also a picky eater, and that explains her small size, but with some sprays, seeds, and extra supplements, she is gaining appetite and learning to accept her main seed mix (currently on BN Expert).
A real food critique, she is always excited to try out new treats/snacks. She doesnt always approve them all on the spot, and may also change her favourite food meter after a week, but she will definitely finish them all. As Hebi is so excited when food is involved, she might accidentally munch on your fingers, but she has improved at recognising human hand apart from food. She now enjoys the little pets you give when she is eating, and is okay with being handled as long as there is FOOD. With some patience and training, she can potentially be your hand ham! :D
One of her special quirk is that she does her regular stretches by doing the downward dog yoga pose minus the butt, and she looks soo long and cute! ;) Calm little Hebi can always be seen pancaking on her wheel or sandjar almost every night. How nice would it be to just have a chill night and fall asleep together?
Requirements
Cage: Any HSS Approved unbarred cage. She likes to climb up her hideouts and would vertically climb up the platform (muscle up) instead of going up the gentle slope, so unbarred cages will prevent any dangers from her special quirk :)
Wheel: 21cm, preferably plastic as she likes to pee in her wheel.
Sand: WhitteMolen Chinchilla Bathing Sand.
Bedding: Any bedding capable of holding burrows! Bonus if able to give Zoomed Snake Aspen (or other shredded aspen, NOT Kaytee) together with another approved non-aspen bedding.
Food: Should be okay to use any approved seed mix + science selective (needed as she is borderline acceptable weight) + extra protein (can be used as treats).
Enrichment: Sprays and Forage. Deep bedding for burrowing.
