Named after a literary character (Boo Radley) from the classic To Kill A Mockingbird, Boo is just like his namesake and is a reclusive and quiet old man.Having lived his entire life prior to being rescued on a diet consisting of only sunflower seeds and sleeping on sunflower seed shells in a house with 128 other hamsters, Boo is currently enjoying exploring the joys of the world one food at a time.

He is always curious about what he can and cannot eat, and has shown a distaste for pellets and an immense interest in puffed corn, flax and millet sprays, and mealworms. Despite his rocky start in life, Boo is an old gentleman who loves sleeping out in the open on his wheel after a quick run as though he were an old man taking a snooze on his rocking chair out in his front yard.

Boo prefers being left alone – unless you have food – and enjoys spending his retirement running on his wheel and eating a variety of yummy and nutritious food. He will emerge from his hideouts when you shake a bag of seed mix near his cage because he knows it’s time for dinner and mealtime pets on the head!

Give this fella a good home and watch him flourish and live out his senior years under your care.

Note: Boo has a habit of peeing in his wheel so regular cleaning of his wheel is recommended.
