Baku is a hamster that gives his all in everything he does. If he decides he wants to sleep, you'll never be able to wake him up; and if he wants to come out and play, he'll come to his cage door and demand to be let out! Baku likes to climb to the highest point he can and enjoys hanging upside down even. When allowed to free-roam, Baku is confident and curious - nothing can distract this boy from exploring, not even food.
Baku is very tame and rarely bites, even when you disturb his sleep! He just gives you the stink eye and rolls over to resume catching those Zs. He doesn't mind being picked up, and hangs limp like a ragdoll when he is. However, Baku does have a more sensitive nose than other hams and hence it is recommended that he is given paper cat litter as bedding over paper litter or wood shavings. Sand should also be given sparingly. [will confirm this on wed when we visit the vet]
Baku is the perfect addition for a family that can give him lots of attention - and I mean, look at that adorable face, can you bear NOT to give it to him?
