Mr Pink Butt (Adopted)

Species: Roborovski

Gender: Male

Age: 6 months old

Likes: Running, naps on the wheel, Gerber puffs

Dislikes: Being held, loud noises

Mr. Pink Butt is the most previous lil thing you’ll ever meet!! He didn’t have a great start in life, as he was rescued from an overbreeding case. His ex-owner also used pink highlighters/markers to dye the bottoms of the male hamsters, causing them to have unnaturally coloured bottoms. Despite that, they don’t have any health concerns at the moment, so they are definitely healthy and ready to be adopted into loving homes (:

Pink Butt loves his wheel very very much. You can hear him running on it every night, and watch him snooze away in the day, pancaking adorably on it. However, he is also a fan of using it as a toilet, so the potential adopter is reminded to clean the wheel daily!

Pink Butt might be wary of hands but he is a sucker for Gerber puffs, and will definitely stop to grab one if you offer it to him. With lots of love and care, he will thrive in his new family.

Things to note when adopting roborovskis:

1. Adopters should make sure to get a glass tank/bin cage/acrylic cage that does not have bars as roborovski hamsters are smaller and can squeeze through the gaps.

2. 1/3 of the cage should be covered with sand as roborovski hamsters tend to become excessively ‘greasy’ when an appropriately sized sand area is not given.

3. A wheel that is minimally 21cm should still be provided even if they are smaller in size as compared to dwarf hamsters.

4. They are fast and might not be suitable for children. Some may also nip/bite.

5. Taming is not guaranteed, but possible with lots of patience, time and love!
