Willow (Adopted)

Species: Syrian
Est Age: 6+ months
Gender: Female
Rescued: 18 August 2019
Likes: Being carried, enrichment toys, broccoli, baby puffs
Dislikes: Being turned belly-up, being ignored, wood toys

Willow was rescued with her 3 cagemates in a tiny carrier by a cat feeder. She was found with only 3 legs - one of which was completely useless. She was also missing a tail and a toe! Despite her shortcomings, Willow does what any hamster does without any hesitation. She moves around with her 2 front legs exclusively, and she can climb as well as any other hamster.

Willow loves attention, and will gladly crawl up a hand lowered into her cage. She is affectionate and comes running when a treat packet is shaken. She enjoys food and loves tearing into any enrichment toy. She also likes destroying any cardboard offered to her.

Willow is a special-needs hamster, and requires a large cage as a conventional wheel is not recommended by the vet. Though life has been unkind to her thus far, we hope that her future home will be able to provide her the best care possible.
