Jumbo was rescued together with 44 other hamsters in our largest rescue to date. She was housed together with other male and female hamsters and was the absolute largest one in the cage. While we initially thought she was the bully, she turned out to be the sweetest little hamster who was tame from the get-go. She loves digging but will come up to the surface and crawl over to your hand when you call out to her. She’s super affectionate and will lick your hand when you give her cuddles.

Jumbo is a little lethargic and still recovering from bite wounds and will need an experienced owner who is able to observe and potentially provide medical care for her.

Update: As of 19 September, Jumbo passed away in her sleep. Rest in peace, Jumbo. <3
