In another case of mistaken identity, we present to you, Sugar, our resident in-house diva. We did not know how old Sugar was and had wrongly assumed him a lady! It wasn’t until his balls started showing on the 16 May did we know his true identity.

Sugar is one of the many hamsters from the Compassvale abandonment case, and likely has kidney failure. However, due to the small size and the danger of drawing blood from hamsters, the vet has advised us to keep him on a low protein diet. His future adopter must be willing to accommodate to his medical needs.

That said, Sugar is not one to let a tiny little thing like this upset him. He has too much to live for - Sugar is full of young, sprightly energy and full of passion! He will put his heart and soul into everything he does - whether it be throwing you looks fit for the runway, running on his wheel with full determination, burrowing in the corner, dramatically flipping his little round body on his sand bath or just grabbing way too much food from your fingers to stuff into his pouches, you will not find a bigger drama queen in such a tiny little body.
